Education Minister Zoran Loncar has presented an Initial Report on the Application of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Serbia from 1992-2005. The report highlights the problems of applying the Convention in Kosovo. In his speech at the session of the Committee of the Rights of Child in Geneva, Loncar stated that Serbian authorities had not been able to apply and monitor the Convention’s application in the province. Report presented on Rights of Child "I have to stress that the general situation regarding human rights in Kosovo is unsatisfactory, and particularly worrying in terms of the failure to respect the fundamental rights of non-Albanian communities, especially Serbs and Roma,” said Loncar.
