Inmate Bekrija Rushiti escaped from police custody Tuesday while visiting the dentist. Rushiti, who was serving five and a half years in the Smederevo District Prison, escaped when police took him to a dentist in Smederevo, located several hundred meters from the prison, sources close to the prison told Beta. Prisoner escapes from dentist’s office When the police removed the prisoner’s handcuffs, he was able to get away, the source said. It is unknown what crime Rushiti had been convicted of committing.
