UEFA has increased the fine imposed on the Serbian FA for racist chanting at the European Under-21 Football Championships. The fine has been more than doubled from the initial 40,000 Swiss Francs to 100,000 Swiss francs. Half of that total is suspended pending any further supporter incidents in the next two years, which means that the Serbian FA will pay 50,000 Swiss Francs. UEFA increases fine for Serbian FA The disciplinary commission fined the Serbian FA for racist chanting and inappropriate behaviour on the part of the players during the match against England, which Serbia lost 2-0 in Holland on June 17. UEFA then took the unusual step of appealing against the decision of its own commission, claiming that the fine was insufficient. No-one at the Serbian FA was available for comment, as most representatives were still on their way home from a match in Belgium.
