Chief Hague Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte reiterated that four out of five Hague fugitives were in Serbia or within its reach.

“It is believed that all of them, barring one, are in Serbia or within its reach, if it made sincere effort to find them,” she said.

Del Ponte claimed earlier that former police general Vlastimir Đorđević was hiding in Russia.

She informed foreign diplomats stationed in The Hague about her visit last week to Serbia, stressing that the arrest and extradition of Bosnian Serb General Zdravko Tolimir constituted a “positive development.”

“The level of Serbia’s cooperation with the ICTY is improving. I hope we will see new arrests soon,” Del Ponte concluded.
