The EU is concerned over Croatia’s decision to annul Serbian indictments for war crimes committed during the 90s war. Brussels has expressed its concern over the proposed bill that should annul all Serbian court decisions regarding Croatian citizens. EU concerned over Croatia’s decision to annul indictments “We have expressed our concern and presented a series of questions about the draft law annulling all legal acts of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA) and Serbia,” said Head of the EU Delegation to Croatia Paul Vandoren. Croatia’s President Ivo Josipovic and Prosecutor Mladen Bajic have pointed out that the law would be harmful because it would not allow persecution of war criminals. Most of political parties, NGOs and experts are also skeptical about the bill.
