The Hague Tribunal’s prosecution wants 27 years for ex-Croatian General Ante Gotovina, accused of committing war crimes against Serb civilians. The prosecution is asking for 23 and 17 years respectively for co-defendants Mladen Markac and Ivan Cermak. The verdict would have to wait another three months, however, while the trial chamber analyzes the arguments of both the defense and prosecution. The verdict is expected to be given in January 2011 at the latest.
