Montenegrin Foreign Minister Milan Rocen said that he expects a quick normalization of relations with Serbia. He said that the issue of Kosovo is over-stressed in relations between Montenegro and Serbia, and repeated that there is no country closer to Serbia than Montenegro. Montenegrin FM for quick normalization “However, Kosovo is our neighbor, and we have excellent relations with all our neighbors,” Rocen said. “He said that the political, economic, cultural and other relations between Serbia and Montenegro cannot be looked at solely through Kosovo prism. Rocen said that the messages of Serbian President Boris Tadic and Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic made an impact in both countries. “Taking into consideration the role of both leaders in their countries, they can personally contribute a lot to improving relations. The daily political interests must be set aside,” Rocen said. He added that the relations between the two countries are actually better than they appear to be, but that they can be improved through regular dialogue and contact.
