Bosnia: Calls to arrest ex-Yugo president

Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency member Zeljko Komsic has called for Interpol warrants to be issued for Dobrica Cosic and Zoran Lilic. According to Komsic’s cabinet, Cosic, as Yugoslav president from June 15, 1992 to June 1, 1993, he had knowledge of all activities and actions ordered by the Yugoslav armed forces in terms of leading an aggressive war on the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Bosnia: Calls to arrest ex-Yugo president “The application was filed in order to begin an investigation and issue an international warrant for Zoran Lilic, the former Yugoslav president who was in office from June 25, 1993 to July 23, 1997, and who, as commander-in-chief of the armed forces, was knowledgeable of activities and actions which were ordered in the war on the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina up until the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords,” the statement reads. Komsic’s cabinet also stated that other senior officials of the former Yugoslavia were also under suspicion of some of the most serious crimes in Bosnia-Heryegovina during the war, including crimes against humanity and violating values protected by international law in the period between 1992-1995.
