Police allegedly reacted after learning that the Rodic brothers were preparing to retaliate for the recent murder of their brother Vinko. The Rodics are originally from the Janjevo Croat community in Kosovo. Vinko Rodic's death is considered to be the latest stage of a criminal underworld showdown that has been ongoing for the past decade in Croatia.
