The Serbian ambassador says that Montenegro will be offered a solution for citizens seeking dual nationality by mid-October. Zoran Lutovac told Montenegrin state TV that the issue of dual citizenship was of key importance to both Serbia and Montenegro, adding that Belgrade would soon offer a solution that was acceptable to both countries. For this reason, he stated, the international community would not inist on Montenegro recognizing Kosovo, provided it looked deep into the issue and into relations in the region. Lutovac said that the return of Serbian ambassadors to countries that have recognized Kosovo did not mean that Serbia had come to terms with this act. According to the ambassador, that was the only way to achieve Serbia’s political aim of EU membership.
