The same result was seen when the question of the direction in which Serbia is going was asked.

Most men think that "things are moving in the wrong direction," while most women think the opposite.

Respondents younger than 30 have a negative stance, whereas those 60 and older are on the positive side.

The most educated also think the country is moving in the wrong direction - in all, 41 percent of respondents. 18.1 said the country was "standing still," while 35.9 percent said the direction was good.

Asked what should be the first task of Serbia's next government, 16.6 percent said, "creating new jobs," while "care for and jobs for young people" was the answer given by 16.4 percent.

These were the opinions of those who said they knew the answer to this question - mostly people under 40.

15.6 percent said the first task of a new government should be to increase the standard of living, while 8.8 percent stressed the fight against crime and corruption as the priority.
