Dacic expects Germany's support for opening chapters

Dacic and Dittmann "agreed that the two countries' relations are good and characterized by cooperation in all fields, high-level dialogue and a constant trend of improvement," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The political dialogue has been particularly intensified over the past year, as affirmed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel's upcoming visit to Serbia, the statement said.

The Serbian foreign minister thanked Germany for its support for Serbia's European path and expressed the expectation that it will also be continued in the future.

The German ambassador said that, in addition to European integration, there is a range of significant areas in which Serbia and Germany can improve their cooperation, such as the economy, education and science, youth exchanges and further intensification of cultural cooperation, the statement said
