"China trip of historic and strategic importance" He said that during the Serbian delegation's stay in Beijing, Shanghai and other big cities, the two countries' officials will sign several agreements of importance to the development of their political and economic relations. They will sign, among other things, a credit arrangement for the construction of a highway section from Obrenovac to Ljig, which is very important for the development of Serbian infrastructure, Djuric said. When it comes to political issues, Djuric said the Serbian delegation will inform their hosts about the progress in the talks and the implementation of the agreement with Pristina, recalling that China has not recognized Kosovo's self-proclaimed independence. He noted that the two countries have a very good understanding when it comes to international relations, and said one of the topics during the visit will be the dialogue on the reform of the United Nations. "We will also sign an interstate agreement on the establishment of cultural centers," said Djuric, noting that works on the first Chinese cultural center in Serbia and the region should begin soon. Serbia will also have a chance to open a cultural center in this friendly and peace-loving country, he added. A Serbian delegation headed by Nikolic is visiting China August 26-29.
