SNS acting leader: Govt. to be formed in two weeks He stressed at the SNS Main Board meeting in Belgrade on Sunday that the Progressives would only join the government if their party’s goals and principles were respected. “There is always a possibility that the majority will be created somewhere else but we will not join it without our goals and program,” Vucic explained. He stressed that “many wealthy and important people” had been exerting pressure through media to appoint some SNS members as ministers. “Those people will not be ministers or I will not be in the position I am now,” the SNS official added. According to him, the talks with the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) are not easy and that there are principles that the SNS will not give up on. “The forming of the government is not over until it had been backed in parliament. The SNS will not allow anyone to humiliate it and it will not be anyone’s busboy. We want to make important and key decisions, we want to take responsibility because we want to change Serbia. If we are able to do so, we will join the government, otherwise we won’t,” Vucic underscored. According to him, the SNS leadership decided unanimously to continue the talks on the forming of the new government with the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS). “Nobody will decide on behalf of the SNS. Tycoons and other parties will run the SNS, but the Presidency and the Main Board,” Vucic stressed. He added that the SNS top officials agreed that the number of state secretaries be reduced by half and that 50 agencies should be closed. The SNS acting leader stressed that the party’s policy was to never recognize Kosovo as an independent state. Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader spoke to United Regions of Serbia (URS) leader Mladjan Dinkic on Saturday night. However, the meeting was unofficial and it is still unknown what was discussed.
