SNS promises to “fight for every vote”

Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic has said that his party will fight for every vote, both in Belgrade and in the entire Serbia. Vucic, who is running for Belgrade mayor, said on Sunday in Belgrade that it depended on the Belgrade citizens whether he would become a mayor or not and denied allegations that the Democratic Party (DS) wass the only favorite. SNS promises to “fight for every vote” He also added that he was not afraid of a possible “dirty campaign”. The SNS deputy leader warned the authorities “not to even try and steal a single vote” anywhere in Serbia. “Then let’s see how you will manage to win over the people’s will. They will be surprised by the results,” he explained. Vucic said that if he became the mayor, the first thing he would do was to form a commission for quick answers that would cut down the waiting time for construction permits and that he would talk to the citizens about their problems from 07:00 until 20:00 once a week. He noted that the SNS would on Monday submit a draft Law on Public Procurement to the Serbian parliament, adding that the bill would allow the state to save up to EUR 600mn a year.
