Serbia is continuing to work to fulfill all the criteria that will influence the opinion of the EC on its bid to become a candidate for EU membership. This is according to Government EU Integrations Office Director Milica Delevic, who spoke for B92 in Belgrade on Thursday. "Serbia continues to work to fulfill all criteria" Delevic also commented on whether Serbia could count on becoming a candidate unless the country gave up on its institutions functioning in Kosovo. She said that the European officials will see as very important the continued dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina as they make a decision on the candidate bid. Another point they will find important, Delevic continued, will be the stability in the province. One of the most important messages from this meeting is that the future of Serbia is in the European Union. "What you are mentioning will be a subject of talks also in regard to modalities and dynamics and Serbia will in the coming period work to protect its interests because it entered reforms and the dialogue above all with the desire to arrange relations in its own interest."
