South Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Avni Kastrati has assessed that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is positive but that partition ideas are not. “It is completely unacceptable for us. We don’t want to talk about it,” he told FoNet news agency. K. Kastrati stressed that Kosovska Mitrovica was Kosovo’s key problem. He explained that the problems were parallel institutions in northern Kosovo, non-recognition of the government in Pristina and the fact that the Serbs considered every move made by Kosovo authorities to be pressure and repression. “Citizens from the north have an opportunity to integrate themselves and the offer always stands. We also offer various projects aside from integration,” the south Kosovska Mitrovica mayor pointed out. He added that Serbs unfortunately would not accept anything and that this caused problems in all areas.
