Hague Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will send a report on Serbia's cooperation with the tribunal to the UN Secretariat on May 17. The document will then be distributed to all members of the UN Security Council, Brammertz's advisor Frederick Swinnen told Tanjug on Saturday. The Hague Tribunal chief prosecutor visited Belgrade on May 10-11 ahead of submitting of the regular report, and conferred with Serbia's officials on cooperation with the court. After a meeting with Serbian President Boris Tadic, he reiterated that the arrest of Ratko Mladic had no alternative and that the key to the arrest of Mladic and Goran Hadzic was in Serbia. When asked what impact his report will have on the decisions by the European Union regarding Serbia's further steps towards the EU, the prosecutor said that he was aware that the EU was carefully following his reports. Brammertz will address the UN Security Council on June 6, it was stated earlier at a press conference in the Hague Tribunal.

The Hague Tribunal chief prosecutor visited Belgrade on May 10-11 ahead of submitting of the regular report, and conferred with Serbia's officials on cooperation with the court.

After a meeting with Serbian President Boris Tadić, he reiterated that the arrest of Ratko Mladić had no alternative and that the key to the arrest of Mladić and Goran Hadžić was in Serbia.

When asked what impact his report will have on the decisions by the European Union regarding Serbia's further steps towards the EU, the prosecutor said that he was aware that the EU was carefully following his reports.
