Oliver Ivanovic said on Monday that he is concerned about recent incidents in the north of Kosovo. The state secretary with the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija stressed that Kosovo police KPS should be quick to react and investigate into the motives of the perpetrators and arrest them. Official concerned about north of Kosovo Commenting on the early Monday bomb attack on a Serb house in the north Kosovo town of Zvecan, Ivanovic told Tanjug that the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija are concerned about the development of the situation in north Kosovo. "The motive for the occurrence of this incident should be established first, and I expect that the KPS will find what it was very soon. If the motive is not resolved, it will leave room for different interpretations, and the enemies of the Serbs and Serbia will immediately use that to present the situation in the north as chaotic,” Ivanovic said. He stressed that all the structures which can help, either directly or indirectly, should take active part in resolving these issues so that people could be protected. Ivanovic said that he cannot know what kind of political stance the Serb from Zvecan who is the target of attacks might have, and stressed that whatever the political opinion one may have, it should not be a cause for physical assault and endangering of people's lives. Early Monday morning, an explosive device was thrown at the home of the Stojkovic family in Zvecan, but nobody was injured. It was the third attack on the family property since last summer.
