He also rejected criticism of the opposition and some representatives of authorities that he was "traveling around the world too much without any special results". “My statutory obligation is to represent Vojvodina in the country and abroad and my task is to look for friends for Vojvodina and Serbia in Brussels, Strasbourg and various European regions,” Egeresi said, and listed among his successes the creation of the Danube region, adding that he was the first to propose this five years ago. He named Austrian province of Steiermark, German state of Baden-Wurttemberg and Croatian province of Istria as "European friends who were ready to give Vojvodina one of the offices at their missions in Brussels". “Vojvodina, however, is not that poor that it can’t allocate EUR 150,000 a year and investment into the future is justified,” the Vojvodina assembly speaker concluded.
