Poll: DS, SNS share top spot

Serbian voters are split between the ruling Democrats (DS) and the opposition Serb Progressives (SNS), according to the new TNS Medium Gallup survey. The agency's opinion poll, conducted from January 28 through February 2, surveying 1,200 people, showed that 30.6 percent of registered voters support DS, while 29.9 would vote for SNS. Poll: DS, SNS share top spot The opposition Radicals (SRS) are in third with 8.3 percent, followed by the ruling Socialists with 6.7 percent. The opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) would, according to this, win 6.2 percent of votes. Below the five percent threshold enabling parties to enter parliament are the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) with 4.3, the Pensioners' Party (PUPS) with 3.2, three percent would vote for G17 Plus, 2.3 percent for the Social-Democratic Part (SDP), 1.5 percent for New Serbia (NS), and 1.3 percent for United Serbia (JS). 62 percent of voters would support joining the EU in a referendum, 20 percent are against EU integration, while 16 percent of those interviewed were undecided. However, when it comes to possible NATO membership, 61 percent stated they were against the idea, 20 percent were in favor, while according to Gallup, 19 percent were undecided.
