Average earnings in December 2009 in Serbia were RSD 36,789 (EUR 375), the Statistical Office has announced.

Average earnings in December 2009 in Serbia were RSD 36,789 (EUR 375), the Statistical Office has announced. This means that in real terms, the figure is 16.6 percent higher than in November of last year, and 16.5 percent higher in nominal terms. Month-on-month average earnings up 16.6 pct The Statistical Office also stated that the average December salary, that included taxes, was RSD 51,115 (EUR 521). The net average salary in Serbia in December 2008 year was in real terms half percent and in nominal terms 7.1 percent higher than in the same month of 2008. In real terms, the December gross earnings were 0.3 percent higher than in December 2008, while they were 6.9 percent higher in nominal terms.
