Serbian, Turkish, Bosnian ministers talk cooperation Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said that Serbia strongly supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The joint conclusion was that relations between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are very important. “Relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina are and important pillar and we will not support secession, because Bosnia-Herzegovina is our closest and probably most important neighbor. However, this does not mean that we do not support the Republic of Srpska and its sovereignty as an entity, as well as its democratically elected administration, but we see it as a part of Bosnia-Herzegovina,” Jeremic said. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu supported Jeremic’s stance on the support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia-Herzegovina. He added that peaceful relations and stability will be useful for the entire Balkans. “At these trilateral meetings we were able to build relations of trust. People sometimes meet without results, but we were successful. There are many more things we agree about than there are for which we cannot find a united language. We also made special progress in the development of good neighborly relations in the region,” Davutoglu said. Bosnian Minister Sven Alkalaj said that the goal is to maintain and improve relations with Serbia, adding that political and economic relations between the countries are very important. “Bosnia has gone through a difficult period, but I think that at this time we need to turn towards the European Union and to work on integration and in this sense, fulfill all necessary conditions in order to submit a demand for membership,” Alkalaj said. After the meeting between the ministers, Davutoglu and Alkalaj met with Serbian President Boris Tadic. He spoke with Davutoglu about relations between Serbia and Turkey after the recent visit to Serbia by Turkish President Abdullah Gul, and said that he is content with the strengthening of economic and all other forms of cooperation between the two countries. Tadic spoke with Alkalaj about strengthening regional cooperation and said that there is always room for progress. Tadic said that Serbia principally supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and added that he supports stability in Bosnia and its progress on the road to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
