He said that the government is “holding the entire nation as a hostage to the relations within the ruling coalition.” Kostunica: Elections needed to end agony “The chaos in the ruling coalition shows that the government that was created by tycoons and foreign ambassadors is falling apart before the eyes of the entire country of Serbia,” Kostunica said in a statement given to the Beta news agency. The former prime minister said that the government is incompetent and that it is causing damage to the Serbian economy and citizens every day. “While the country is falling apart, the government is on vacation and is holding the entire country hostage until August 31, when it will be seen whether the ruling parties will make an internal deal in order to stay in power for a few more months,” Kostunica added.
