B92 understands that the Democratic Party (DS) is close to nominating Mirko Cvetkovic as its candidate for prime minister. Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic is in line to become his deputy and interior minister. B92’s source claims that the Associated Pensioners’ Party (PUPS) leader Jovan Krkobabic could receive a deputy prime ministerial post to cover the area of social issues. The SPS would also receive the Education and Infrastructure Ministries that would be headed by Zarko Obradovic and Milutin Mrkonjic respectively, as well as the Science Ministry.
