Berlin reacts to Ambassador Zobel’s statements
Zobel said in Belgrade that the issue of Kosovo should be solved in the form of supervised independence, adding that otherwise problems in Vojvodina and Sandžak might flare up.The Serbian Government dispatched a letter of protest to Berlin over Ambassador Zobel’s statements that met with severe criticism of the Serbian public, politicians, historians and legal experts, while German press paid little attention to the incident.
The German Foreign Ministry representative confirmed to Tanjug that Serbian Ambassador to Berlin Ognjen Pribićević delivered the letter of protest Friday.
She did not comment on further steps of the German Foreign Ministry regarding the letter and the matter itself.
