The ruling parties have failed to agree over the distribution of directorial posts in Serbia’s public enterprises. The website energyobserver.com reported on Tuesday that all previous deals made by the coalition partners concerning the distribution of power and the leading posts in Serbia’s public enterprises in the field of energy had been called off. Parties fail to agree over public enterprises Under the terms of these deals, Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica’s Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) would get the public power enterprise (EPS), while President Boris Tadic’s Democrats (DS) would receive the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) and assume control over oil company Srbijagas. However, according to energyobserver.com, G17 Plus, the third party of the ruling coalition, insists on maintaining control over Srbijagas at any cost. The same source wrote that parties would continue to negotiate on the matter next Tuesday.
