Another blast in K. Mitrovica, no victims reported

A blast which rocked northern Kosovska Mitrovica early on Thursday caused material damage, but fortunately no one was injured. Commander of the police station in Kosovska Mitrovica Bratislav Kragovic told the Tanjug news agency that two cars were damaged in the incident, one of which belongs to a member of the Kosovo Police Service (KPS). Another blast in K. Mitrovica, no victims reported The explosive device was thrown in the vicinity of a local student hostel at around 3:00 CET. The police have blocked this part of the city, and KPS and EULEX are investigating the site. The explosion is yet another in a string of incidents that have recently taken place in this city. Two nights earlier, Kosovo Albanian Hakif Mehmeti was shot to death. The series of incidents started in July, when a bomb went off killing local physician Mesud Dzekovic. Shortly after that, Petar Miletic, a Serb member of the Kosovo parliament, escaped an attempt on his life. The police have yet to arrest anyone in relation to these incidents.
