Suspected war criminal released

Goran Vuckovic, who was arrested under the suspicion of having committed war crimes in Kosovo, has been released, according to Radio KIM. Vuckovic’s lawyer Fatmir Selina said that the court stated that there is no hard evidence of his client’s involvement in any war crimes. Suspected war criminal released A little over two weeks ago, Vuckovic was arrested for threatening a neighbor and was held in custody under the suspicion that he was earlier involved in war crimes committed in Kosovo. Selina said that Vuckovic will have to report to the Kosovo police until September 11. If he does not report to the police on a daily basis, he could be taken back into custody, Selina said. Selina added that Vuckovic headed to Belgrade, where his family lives, immediately after being released.

A little over two weeks ago, Vučković was arrested for threatening a neighbor and was held in custody under the suspicion that he was earlier involved in war crimes committed in Kosovo.

Selina said that Vučković will have to report to the Kosovo police until September 11.

If he does not report to the police on a daily basis, he could be taken back into custody, Selina said.

Selina added that Vučković headed to Belgrade, where his family lives, immediately after being released.
