The prosecution has announced that Sinisa Vucinic, who sent death treats to SDU leader and MP Zarko Korac and journalist Milos Vasic has been arrested. The Third Municipal Public Prosecution in Belgrade proposed on Monday that courts start an investigation of Vucinic and place him in custody. Noting that the prosecution has taken Vucinic's threats to Korac and Vasic very seriously, Zoric said that "no one in Serbia, which is a democratic country, has the right to endanger the safety of other people because they have different convictions or opinions". Vucinic, who presents himself as president of the Republic of Srpska Serb Chetnik Movement initiative committee, threatened at the end of June through the media Vreme weekly's Vasic and Korac. He said the two would meet "the same fate as their friend Zoran Djindjic", in reference to the slain Serbian prime minister. In his letters to Glas Srpske and Vreme, Vucinic boasted that he had "contributed to the assassination of Djindjic", and claimed that he intends to "kill Korac and Vasic too".
