Rasim Ljajic said that the two remaining Hague fugitives will be arrested by year’s end if they are located in Serbia. “They cannot hide forever and if they are in Serbia, it is impossible for them not to be located by the end of the year, taking into consideration the activities we are undertaking." "Fugitives to be arrested by end of year" "We are gathering and checking all information, and there is very interest information. One thing is certain, there are more pieces in the mosaic that we are making,” the president of the National Hague Cooperation Council told daily Blic. Speaking of today’s visit to Belgrade by Hague Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz, Ljajic said that he is convinced that Brammertz’s report will be positive and that it will state that Serbia is doing everything within its power to arrest Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic. Ljajic said that Serbia has fulfilled all the demands of the tribunal, except for arresting and extraditing Mladic. He said that he did not known whether Brammertz would use the term “full cooperation” to describe Serbia’s cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, which is a condition set by Holland for unblocking the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union. Ljajic said that Holland’s stance that the agreement cannot be implemented until Mladic is arrested is still “unchanged and very firm” and that there would not be “great expectations” from Brammertz’s visit for unblocking the agreement with the EU. “I do not want to make false or great expectations out of it. The report which Brammertz will file is importance, it is very important that it be as positive as possible. If it is, the stance of Holland will be more difficult to defend. Even now we are undeservingly being punished because of Holland’s stance,” Ljajic told the daily.
