The Hague prosecution today asked the court to reject Radovan Karadzic's request concerning an alleged arrangement he struck with a U.S. envoy. Karadzic claims that former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Richard Holbrooke promised him effective immunity from war crimes charges in return for his disappearance from Bosnia's public life.
