The authorities say a bag containing what is suspected to be Radovan Karadzic’s laptop has been found. The Action Team for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal said that the bag, found on Monday on the Batajnica road, contained 55 discs, as well as newspaper cuttings, and two books. Karadzic’s laptop discovered? In a statement, the Action Team said that DNA tests and an inquiry were being carried out to establish the circumstances surrounding the case, and whether the items did indeed belong to Karadzic. The former Bosnian Serb leader’s lawyer Goran Petronijevic said that the place where the bag was found fitted in with the supposed location of his client’s arrest. "I will travel to The Hague today, where I will talk to Karadzic about the contents of his computer and the discs, so that we can determine for sure whether the computer really belongs to him, or if this is some sort of scam. Until that’s established, there’s nothing I can say,” Petronijevic told Beta. Karadzic and his lawyers have claimed on several occasions that during his arrest, his laptop and discs were confiscated, and that he was arrested on the number 73 bus (from New Belgrade to Batajnica) three days before his arrest was officially announced. On July 21, the National Security Council announced that Radovan Karadzic had been arrested that same night near Belgrade.
