A request has been issued for an investigation into abuse of office allegations against Zvezdan Terzic. The investigation will look into the dealings of Terzic, the former president of the Serbian Football Association, FSS, and the former secretary-general of the organization of Serbia’s first division football clubs, Milovan Nikodinovic. The Municipal Public Prosecutor’s Office has also recommended that the two be remanded in custody because of the possibility that they might flee or interfering with the investigation, and influence potential witnesses. “The Prosecution believes that remanding them in custody is justified, taking into consideration that the crime they are suspected of committing calls for a prison sentence of 12 years, and because of the way in which the crimes were allegedly committed,” a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office reads.
