Domestic currency ends week slightly stronger

The Serbian national currency has grown 0.1 percent against the eurozone currency compared to a month ago, dropping 4.2 percent compared to a year ago, the central bank (NBS) said.

The indicative dinar-to-dollar exchange rate has dropped 0.4 percent to RSD 107.2366 for one dollar.

The dinar has grown 0.7 percent against the US currency compared to a month ago, dropping 20.5 percent compared to a year ago.

The dinar hit its 2015 low against the euro on January 28, when one euro was exchanged for RSD 123.57, reaching its highest rate on March 20, when one euro was worth RSD 119.95.

Since the beginning of the year, the NBS has sold EUR 120 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and purchased EUR 400 million to prevent excessive daily fluctuations of the exchange rate.
