Electricity price to go up 12 percent on August 1

The amount has been harmonized with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Antic told a press conference at the Serbian government building.

He noted that socially vulnerable will have free 120-250 kilowatt-hours per month.

The electricity price in Serbia will still remain by far the lowest in Europe that is 50 percent cheaper than in Montenegro, twice as cheap as in Croatia and 15 percent cheaper than in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Antic stressed.

Changes in the price of electricity are planned within the precautionary arrangement Serbia signed with the IMF.
