Measured by the consumer price index, the monthly inflation in Serbia rose by 0.6 percent in April relative to the previous month.

April inflation 0.6 pct, year-on-year figure 2.1 pct

According to the same source, consumer prices rose by 1.8 percent in April compared to December 2013.

Compared to March, prices rose in food and non-alcoholic beverages product and services group by 1.3 percent, communications (1.2 pct), health care (0.8 pct) and recreation and culture and furniture and housing maintenance (both 0.2 pct).

Prices fell in transportation and clothes and footwear groups (both 0.2 pct), as well as in alcoholic beverages and tobacco and education groups (both 0.1 pct).

The prices of other products and services did not change significantly, the Statistical Office said.
