China's Huawei company presented its new network infrastructure, terminal equipment, applications and cell phones in Belgrade on Tuesday.

China's Huawei company presented its new network infrastructure, terminal equipment, applications and cell phones in Belgrade on Tuesday. The Huawai Demo Truck Roadshow was taking place in front of the Belexpo Center. IM opens Chinese tech giant Huawei's presentation Serbia's outgoing Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said at the opening ceremony that cooperation between China and Serbia was at a high level, but expressed belief there was room to expand relations in all areas. "China will be one of our main partners in the political sense, and I hope economic as well," said Dacic. He expressed satisfaction with the fact that Huawei, a leader in the global communications market, was part of Serbia's IT and communications technology market. According to Dacic, the need for new business models based on IT and communications technology that would improve the services offered by the Interior ministry to the citizens has led to cooperation between the ministry and Huawei. Dacic recalled that the ministry and the company signed a cooperation protocol in November 2011, after which the ministry hosted a workshop on the introduction of the 112 system. The minister noted that the introduction of the 112 emergency telephone number was one of the prerequisites of EU membership. "By donating computers to schools and offering scholarships to students in Serbia, the company has shown it cares about people and sees this not just as a business, but as longterm cooperation between two friendly countries," he added. Allen Guo, vice president of Huawei Business Group, said that in recent years, the company had turned its focus from telecommunications toward small and medium-sized businesses. Huawei offers solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, the transportation industry, internet service providers and state institutions, Guo said.
