Serbia's overall foreign trade reached USD 20.85bn from January to August 2011, reflecting an increase of 25.9 percent year-on-year. The Serbian export amounted to USD 7.86bn, which in comparison to the same period of 2010 constitutes a rise of 30.4 percent, while the import equaled USD 13bn, representing an increase of 23.3 percent year-on-year, the Serbian Statistical Office released on Friday. Serbia’s foreign trade increases The foreign trade deficit equals USD 5.14bn, which means that it has risen by 13.7 percent when compared to the same period of 2010. The export- import ratio equals 60.4 percent, and exceeds the ratio in the same period of 2010 when it amounted to 57.1 percent.
