Serbia’s foreign trade increases

Serbia's overall foreign trade reached USD 20.85bn from January to August 2011, reflecting an increase of 25.9 percent year-on-year.

Vardarska_Serb, do tell, who is going to do the exporting from Serbia? What little we had was obliterated in 1999, along with our civilian infrastructure. It's not so simple. It's easy to destroy but very hard to build and develop, especially when the big powers of the West do not want us as a partner on level with them, but as a subservient colony. :(

Serbia needs to start exporting to North American markets and Russia. There's a lot of profit to be made in those places. I see Made in Italy food products in many stores in the US all the time. Who says we can't do the same thing and have lots of Made in Serbia products in popular stores in the US?

It's kinda sad that the import-export ratio is so low. Each year it gets better, but it's really meaningless if it's only by a few percent different. It's like there's no effect. :( We don't produce anything are a colony I would say... yet in better position than other colonies already in the EU.
