Around 40 percent of Serbia's wheat fields have been harvested, with the average yield at 3.5 to four tons per hectare on private fields, experts say. They add that over seven tons per hectare is expected on fields owned by large agricultural collectives. They expect the harvesting of bread wheat, sown on over 490,000 hectares, will be completely finished by the end of next week, weather permitting.
