The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) sold EUR 10mn on the inter-bank foreign exchange market on Monday. As on numerous previous occasions, the central bank announced the move came in order to ensure smooth functioning of the foreign exchange market. Central bank sells EUR 10mn As a result, the Serbian dinar (RSD) will strengthen on Tuesday by 0.21 percent, thus setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 106.3384 for one euro (EUR). Including the Monday intervention, the NBS has sold EUR 2.041bn since the beginning of the year in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.

As a result, the Serbian dinar (RSD) will strengthen on Tuesday by 0.21 percent, thus setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 106.3384 for one euro (EUR).Including the Monday intervention, the NBS has sold EUR 2.041bn since the beginning of the year in order to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate.
