Joint railway company of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia Cargo 10 will begin to operate tomorrow, stated Assistant Infrastructure Minister Dejan Lasica. He said that the first train of the joint railway company would leave from Paracin at 8:30 CET and that its destination would be a town of Sezana in Slovenia. Joint railway company begins operations tomorrow Public company Serbian Railways has announced that a 32-car cargo train will transport wood briquettes intended for the Italian market. The train will cross the distance between Paracin and Sezana in 20 hours, which is about ten hours less than until now, it is stressed in the announcement. Serbian Railways has pointed out that annual contract envisages transport of 50,000 tons of briquettes. According to a previous agreement, headquarters of Cargo 10 will be in Ljubljana. The joint company will have five percent of a total number of trains of all three states at its disposal. One of the company’s goals is to shorten a customs procedure at border crossings so its trains would run faster. State railway companies of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia will each have a third of the shares and profit in Cargo 10. An agreement to establish a joint railway company was reached in late July so transportation of goods and passengers along pan-European Corridor 10 would become efficient, profitable and faster. Among other things, travel time from Ljubljana to Istanbul has been reduced from 57 to 35 hours. The train will pass through Batajnica station around noon and Serbian Infrastructure Minister Milutin Mrkonjic will attend the ceremony.

Public company Serbian Railways has announced that a 32-car cargo train will transport wood briquettes intended for the Italian market.

The train will cross the distance between Paraćin and Sežana in 20 hours, which is about ten hours less than until now, it is stressed in the announcement.

Serbian Railways has pointed out that annual contract envisages transport of 50,000 tons of briquettes.

According to a previous agreement, headquarters of Cargo 10 will be in Ljubljana. The joint company will have five percent of a total number of trains of all three states at its disposal.
