Dinar hits all-time low against euro

The Serbian dinar (RSD) has been losing value against the euro for the third day in a row this Wednesday. Today the home currency was down 0.35 percent, with the oficial exchange rate close to the so-called psychological threshold of RSD 97 for one euro – at RSD 96.9951. Dinar hits all-time low against euro This is the lowest value of the dinar since the introduction of the euro. The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) on Tuesday EUR 17mn at the exchange rate of RSD 96.8 in the foreign exchange interbank market in order to prevent significant daily oscillations in the rate. The central bank intervened so as to control the possible negative effects of spending additional state funds on the functioning of the foreign trade market, it was announced. The NBS intervented again on Wednesday by sellign EUR 20mn according to the RSD 97.15 exhange rate.
