NIS losses reduced to RSD 3bn

NIS General Manger Kirill Kravchenko says that according to preliminary data the company's losses in 2009 will be reduced to some RSD 3bn (some EUR 33mn). Kravchenko addressed reporters on Friday to announce that around USD 373mn would be invested in the modernization of the company in 2010. NIS losses reduced to RSD 3bn "This is a significant reduction compared to the first quarter of 2009, when a RSD 11bn loss was recorded," said the Russian manager of Serbia's formerly state-owned oil enterprise. Kravchenko also explained that a profit of around RSD 8bn (some EUR 88mn) is expected by the end of 2010. Kravchenko announced that NIS will invest a total of USD 373mn in 2010 - USD 215mn from new owner, Gazprom Neft, funds would go to refining, while some USD 118mn from NIS's own funds will be invested in oil exploitation and retail development.
