Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said yesterday that Serbia could expect major inward investment once the economic crisis had blown over. "Foreign investors are keeping an eye on goings-on in Serbia, and we can expect major investment after the crisis,” Cvetkovic said after talks with representatives of the European Round Table (ERT) of industrialists from Brussels. PM confident of investment after crisis He said that they had agreed that cooperation and contact between government representatives and foreign investors should be more frequent, and that consultations should be held when drawing up new legislation. The prime minister said that they had discussed possible investment in the telecommunications sector, improvements to the fiscal system, collective agreements and relations between unions, employers and the government. The ERT’s head of delegation, Carlsberg Group President Jorgen Buhl Rasmussen, said that investors supported Serbia’s EU integration. “We see Serbia as an exceptional place for investment, a place where it’s good to be and do business,“ he said.
