The Anti-Corruption Council has informed the president and PM that plans are afoot to change the application of land owned by the Belgrade Port. The council announced that it has learned that the Belgrade authorities were poised to conclude a deal with the new Port owners on changing the land’s application, which is against the law, while relocation could lead to significant expense for the tax payer. However, the council states that they have not acquired the rights to the land, nor to requesting relocation of the port. According to the council, the state still owns the land and the rights to it. The council has sent Boris Tadic and Mirko Cvetkovic a copy of the documents in question, and asked theim to take steps to ensure that the law and citizens’ rights are upheld. The council has also forwarded the documents to the Special Prosecution, the investigative authorities and the City Public Prosecutor.

However, the council states that they have not acquired the rights to the land, nor to requesting relocation of the port.

According to the council, the state still owns the land and the rights to it.

The council has sent Boris Tadić and Mirko Cvetković a copy of the documents in question, and asked theim to take steps to ensure that the law and citizens’ rights are upheld.

The council has also forwarded the documents to the Special Prosecution, the investigative authorities and the City Public Prosecutor.
