Cvetkovic told Politika that the money has not been spent on the elections nor used for paying various political agreements, and that the obligations are being met regularly and according to plan. According to him, "there is no reason for anxiety since we neither asked for nor intended to take loans from the National Bank." "After all, following the information that Serbia is facing budget issues, representatives of renowned world banks arrived and offered us money, which best speaks about our credibility," the finance minister added.
