Kazakhstan will reconsider Serbia's request for export of 5,000 domestically-made cars to the customs union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan to reconsider importing Serbia-made cars"

"Kazakhstan has been the only country that opposed this because they wanted to protect domestic production. The prime minister of Kazakhstan promised that he will reconsider the request and do all he can to ensure that the country's decision is positive," Ljajic said.

The other key matter highlighted in the discussions was establishment of joint enterprises, particularly in agriculture and the pharmaceuticals industry, he said.

"We are also interested in getting our construction industry back on Kazakhstan's market," said Ljajic, who is also deputy prime minister.
