More bad weather after storm, quake hit Skopje

37 liters of rain fell per square meter within half an hour, while wind reached the velocity of 70 kilometers per hour.

Transport Minister Mile Janakieski said there had been no reports of victims, but that there was material damage.

According to the media in this Balkan country, "two vehicles fell into a hole that opened up during the storm." This incident reportedly happened in Skopje's Novo Lisiche neighborhood.

The torrential rain caused some flooding in the central parts of the Macedonian capital and briefly halted traffic.

Immediately after the storm, a 3.6M earthquake hit the area, with an epicenter located eight kilometers away from Skopje.
